2026 Checklist: Is Your Site Ready for an AI Agent?
Being found by an AI agent and being understood by it are two different things. Here are the 3 levels to check, in order.
Three levels, not one
"Being ready for AI agents" too often gets reduced to a single check : making sure robots.txt doesn't block GPTBot. That's necessary, but it's only the first of three levels an AI agent actually goes through before answering a customer about you.
Level 1 — Access: can the agent even get in?
Half of the sites invisible to ChatGPT aren't invisible because of their content — it's their robots.txt or their CDN quietly closing the door. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended : each has its own user-agent, and missing just one is enough to disappear from an entire engine.

Level 2 — Understanding: does the agent understand what it reads?
Once in, the agent needs to understand your page without having to guess. The /llms.txt file and complete schema.org markup (Organization, Product, FAQPage as relevant) give the agent a structured version of your content, instead of leaving it to interpret generic HTML the way a human skimming the page would.

Level 3 — Success: does the agent actually find its answer?
This is the level almost nobody tests, and the only one that really matters to a customer : an agent with full access to your site, understanding your markup perfectly, can still fail to find a specific piece of information — because it's on the wrong page, poorly worded, or buried three clicks deep.
Levels 1 and 2 can be checked with a static audit. Level 3 requires sending a real agent with a real task — "find how to book", "find the price" — and watching whether it succeeds, where it gives up, and why.
That's exactly what Livada Trace tests, for free, in one run : an agent browses your site live and publishes the exact path it takes. To go further — ten runs, judged by an AI from a different provider, before and after a fix, then monitored over time — that's AgentRadar's job.
The condensed checklist
- Access — GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended allowed in
robots.txt; no CDN/firewall silently blocking them - Understanding —
/llms.txtpresent and current; complete schema.org on key pages (contact, pricing, FAQ) - Success — a real agent tested on a real customer task, not just a theoretical score
The first two levels get fixed once. The third needs ongoing monitoring — a site changes, content shifts, and what worked yesterday can fail tomorrow without any classic alert ever flagging it.
